Recharge (Midway) Event
About half-way through the eight week program everybody could use a little extra motivation but what we’ve figured out is that it is better for our participants if we can keep them motivated every week. So this year, we set up a walking group to meet at Veteran’s Park at 8:00 a.m. every Saturday. A member of the WAT committee was always there to demonstrate the stretches and then lead our participants around the park.
If you went to the first weekend (after kickoff), Kirsten Brekken-Shea gave a wonderful demonstration on the different styles of walking for healthier lifestyles. We look forward to seeing her again next year!
